This year’s All Star 5k charity run in Kansas City was an absolute thrill! Meeting a lot of great baseball fans and running more than three miles to support the fight against cancer. It’s hard to beat that at 7:30 in the morning.
The Baseball Vault would like to send a special thanks to all the volunteers who made the event such a success. And my sincerest apologies for whiffing on the trash can with my water cup at the final drink station. I was delirious at that point.
We also took in the All Star Futures Game in the afternoon and made a stop in the Royals Hall of Fame. Watching the stars of tomorrow, hobbling through the great memories of the past with aching legs.
I love baseball.
